Over-indulgence is unnecessary! – As a parent, it’s easy to overdo it when trying to keep up with style trends. But keep in mind that your kids will outgrow things quickly. Comfort is key and the ability for kids to be kids they will still run around and play so their clothing needs to be appropriate even in they are in their ‘Sunday Best’.
There is no point dressing your child in something they are uncomfortable in as this will in turn only lead to your child scratching and pulling at their clothes and making them generally irritable……… unhappy kids…. unhappy parents – know what I mean!
Price – sometimes it’s worth investing in slightly higher-end clothes for the kids, especially when buying coats and shoes. You can generally buy coats slightly larger which can be worn for a couple of years so the “cost per wear” can sometimes be justified.
Shoes should always be the best that you can afford as their little piggies are always growing – and if your spending high end, designer etc read the label as you really don’t want to buy dry clean only – kids will be kids.
When buying fashionable items for your little ones try to take in to account their personalities are they sporty, explorers, dancers, artistic etc. – let them express themselves and feel good.
